Escure Ranch death March

President's Day we did a 20 miler to satisfy one of the hiking MB requirements.

What we did:

Walk and walk and walk.
Start early-met at 5:30 and began walking at 7:30
Finished-about 4:45....that's most of the day.
Enjoy a mild day and dry day between two days of rain-thank you Heavenly Father.

What we will do differently next time:

Take a topo
Purchase good hiking boots.
Wear a thin and thick pair of socks.
Stay together to avoid getting (lost) separated.
Spend several days doing some short hikes to prepare our bodies.

You look great in your scout hat! Good job. It must be nice not to have 3feet of snow. I know you all had your share last year!

Kathy, I can't remember the last time we had snow, but I know it was last year, that is Nov or Dec of 2009. Most nights have been above freezing and now the flowers are coming up. It did freeze last night and I actually had to scrape some ice off the windshield. Oh if every year could be so gentle.

looks like quite a hike! What a beautiful winter for it. And I agree with Kathy - you look so natural in your scout gear! How will they ever release you?!
