Fairchild Airforce Base Visit

As part of the Citizenship in the nation merit badge, we recently were given a guided tour of the SERE (Survival School Lab) by Staff Sargent Josh Strom. Enjoy.

love all those make shift tents, but not the bulging fingers!

Your boys are sure lucky to have you!

Wish I could have attended the SERE thing with you. I interviewed for a pilot position with the SLC unit (151 Air Refueling Wing) yesterday and I'm waiting to find out if I'm the lucky one to get it.... which would mean attendance at the SERE course. I'm really interested in taking it, but I've heard it's a beast and tough guys have said it was tougher than they thought it was going to be. (Sounds like a 16 to 1 type trail.... or perhaps any impromptu ride suggested by uncle Bob).
